A Community Space & Bird Observatory- Sustainable Space Design
This community space is designed for NRI Complex, Seawoods, Nerul (Thane district)- Navi Mumbai, India.
This community space intends to facilitate a better working space for the community workers, having a proper transportation system for the elderly around the campus and also have an observatory for the migratory birds in the area.
The main objective of the project was to integrate the requirements of the stakeholders as discussed in our neighbourhood through spatial configurations. The project revolves around the idea of visual connections adding to the sensuality of design, the juxtaposition of volumes added to the experience of the user manipulating its circulation. The building respects the natural contours of the site and stands out, a result of artistic composition of 3-Dimensional spaces in which the three scenarios, as talked about, interact with each other but do not overlap at the same time. The glass walls, outdoor stairs and the parking for the solar powered cars arose a visual expression that adds to the meaning of spaces, creating a new environment away from monotony with a sense of exploration every time.
We need to understand who our stakeholders are and what their needs might be in detail first.
